Disappearing Into Swaths of Blue

Leaping through the threshold
of two worlds,
dolphins catapult past the boundary 
of a watery universe,
briefly suspended in their Otherworld
of invisible currents.
Aerialists twist, spin, free fall. 
Exuberant joy.

Mother and calves glide 
in perfect sync.
Click and whistle 
in a secret language.
Pulse of the sea beckons
in surging waves.
Silver sailors disappear
into swaths of blue.

I, too, want to be
swallowed 
by the turquoise sea.
